Learning Style: I attend lectures and handwrite the slides in class. I then go back and annotate my notes so that I could explain concepts within the lecture for easier memorization.
Hobbies: I like going to gym, playing guitar, rock climbing, hiking, and playing video games. Fun Fact: I am red-green colorblind. |

Learning Style: I use a program called Remnote, which has a unique feature of being able to take notes while creating flashcards (with built-in spaced repetition) simultaneously. When memorizing complex diagrams and processes, I like to draw out everything I remember and fill in the gaps of my memory using a different color. During in-class lectures, I try to focus on absorbing the material and listening rather than extensive note-taking. However, I would use recording to help me fill in any gaps or times where I may have spaced out.
Hobbies: I enjoy staying active and playing sports such as basketball and volleyball. I also love being outdoors and going on road trips. Fun Fact: I've sprained my ankle three times in one year :( |

Learning Style: I study the main coursework individually and I explain the topics to myself in a separate document whether typed or written. After studying the coursework by myself, if there are missing gaps, then I will collaborate with others! Being able to ask questions and teaching others is an opportunity to solidify what I know. I try to get as much sleep before a long study session so I can hyper-concentrate on the material.
Hobbies: I enjoy playing volleyball, window-shopping unnecessary Quality-of-Life items online, and napping. Fun Fact: I cannot eat anything with a hint of spice. |

Learning Style: I like to study by going over lecture slides multiple times! For specific classes, I will rewatch lectures in order to write down additional notes that I may have missed. For studying, I create study guides, which is a very condensed version of all my notes, and familiarize myself with the information by creating silly mnemonics/associations, drawing charts, and writing fill in the blank questions to help with active recall. After reviewing material, I will also use the practice questions, if provided, to test myself.
Hobbies: Painting, cooking, hanging with friends, and watching kdramas/horror movies. Fun Fact: I get my boba drinks at 125% sweetness with less ice. |

Learning Style: I like to study by taking handwritten notes on my laptop when watching lectures and then reviewing the slides and my notes repeatedly. Once I understand the material better, I test myself by looking at the title of each slide and then explaining back to myself the content without looking at the slide. I also test myself with practice problems and study guides if they are provided.
Hobbies: Baking, embroidering, bouldering, traveling Fun Fact: I was on the US national team for taekwondo |

Learning Style: In my digestion of academic content, I like to learn through repeated exposure to material. I attend class for a first exposure, re-watch lectures (in most instances), write up my notes in a visually coherent manner on Google sheets, then study off my notes in preparation for the exams. I also do all practice problems and go through any available study guides at this point. I have tried other methods such as using Anki or Quizlet, but I have found that strong visuals in my notes as opposed to cards, etc. works best for me. If there are a lot of structures or charts to memorize, I will draw them out a few times.
Hobbies: On some weekends when I'm able to go back home (Petaluma), I love to go hiking or drive to the coast with my australian shepherd (Zeke!). On campus, I enjoy gymming, listening to music, thrifting, and I've recently gotten into plant propagation - I have a collection of 20 :) Fun Fact: I have a New Zealand dual citizenship |

Learning Style: I like attending the lectures and annotating the slides along the way. I also like to rewatch the recordings of the lectures to help clarify any points that I happen to miss during class. I then look through the slides and notes again to help memorize and understand the information. I also like to do any practice problems that are provided. Learning Style: My learning style consists of primarily flashcards and group study. After attending/watching the lecture, I will go over each lecture slide and analyze the information. My thought process is "how will Professor ____ write a test question on this material?" I will then write my own test questions using Anki Flashcards. This forces me to think critically about the information and formulate new connections. Furthermore, the flashcards allows me to study in small bursts when it is convenient, such as at the gym, making coffee, etc. Lastly, I collaborate with my

kIMMI nGO
Learning Style: My learning style consists of rewatching lecture and paraphrasing what the professor has said in class in my notes to make sure I understand the concept. I like to sum up every slide with a big general idea, as professors usually focus on one main idea on each slide. I also like typing up the important concepts from the slides into a document on OneNote, so it's easier to visualize. I then like to study off my notes and the slides. If there are practice exams given, I like to do them and give an explanation as to why each answer is wrong or right.

Learning Style: I find that attending lectures and annotating slides on my tablet helps build the foundation my knowledge. After class, while prepping my study material, I usually rewatch lectures on topics I am uncertain about, or to record information I missed during lecture. I highlight information that professors state will definitely be on the exam with a specific color, so that when reviewing slides I make sure to focus on that topic (e.g. a professor saying a question just like this will be on the exam). Within a day or two of the material presented in class, I make Anki cards about said material. With Anki I utilize both the typical flashcard and cloze statement card types. With the typical flashcard, I include pictures from lecture in addition to my intepretation of the material. With cloze statement cards, which are basically fill in the blank statements, I reinforce information that tends to be memorization oriented (e.g. lab values, whether a value increases/decreaes, etc.). Once my cards are created, I go over them multiple times with a study group where we create mneumonics to help remember lists of items (e.g. drugs in a certain class, contraindications for a drug, etc.). As we go over the material, I tend to build a mental image, so that on exam day I can recall the specific card. I also utilize provided practice problems, creation of diagrams where I blank out key points to test myself, and creation of excel sheets to condense required drug information. With all my study material, I aim complete them the weekend before an exam, so that throughout the week I can study with my study group.
Hobbies: Weight-lifting, binge watching shows, trying new food, all things tech, video games, and reading manga. Fun Fact: When I am stressed out I tend to clean my apartment or do other chores! |

Learning Style: I attend class and take lecture notes (or annotate the slides). While taking my notes, I highlight details that are important so that they become easier to remember. After class, I go over the material again (or rewatch lectures if I have to) and fill in any missing details I might not have captured during class. Once my notes are complete, I study each topic via active recall by creating questions based on the content and testing myself with those questions.

Learning Style: I typically annotate using the Goodnotes app, and during class I will bookmark certain points of confusion during the lecture. This way, I can refer back to just those portions of the lecture recording, and I rarely ever re-watch entire lectures. While studying for exams, I also like to create my own study guides or concept maps to help condense the lecture slides and organize them in a way that makes the most sense for me. I typically like to study alone to master the concepts, and then I like to test my knowledge by quizzing my peers; I also enjoy practicing the teach-back method to really ensure that I understand the material.

Learning Style: I watch lectures and type up detailed notes on just about everything the professor says. This is because I find that extra information helps me understand the concepts of the lectures better. If needed, I will also use other resources (like a Google search or Lexicomp/UpToDate) to supplement my notes. Once I understand the information, I find that memorizing becomes much easier. For example, instead of memorizing that a drug has a certain side effect, I like to research the physiology behind that reaction--this allows me to understand and commit to memory the mechanism between cause and effect. I try to finish my notes at least the weekend before the corresponding exam...sometimes later (:D). I then hand write all my notes once or twice to ensure that I can recall the information without referring back to my notes. If anything requires brute memorization, such as lab values, doses, or brand names etc., I will rewrite them repetitively until I remember them.
Hobbies: On a day off, you can find me out for a run/workout, playing minecraft (i love the Cobblemon mod!!!) or brawl stars with my friends, or doing some sort of art craft like crocheting. I also love photography! Fun Fact: My favorite pokemon is ditto! |
