Learning Style:
I learn the best by studying ahead of time, usually about 1 week before an exam. I go to lectures and type in added info to the professor's notes, relisten to recordings if I missed any details, and finally reformat (adding/removing/rearranging) the professor's notes with my added into into a document that is coherent to me. I prefer to study alone with a minimal amount of breaks, but also enjoy company while studying. Hobbies: Biking, playing video games, and reading manga Interesting Fact: I biked from San Jose all the way to Union City. It was not fun. |

Learning style:
I always study alone when starting the material. I write down the concepts from a slide deck in my notebook and after I have written all the concepts I do not understand I typically pace around or switch where I sit. If I am in one spot for too long I will just fall asleep. If I have enough time I will talk out the topics with a friend to further clarify certain points. Hobbies: I like gaming (mainly Valorant) to destress. Spending time with friends and family is always great. Recently got into working out. Interesting Fact: I can't feel the bottom left of my lip because I had jaw surgery. :') |

Realistically, there is always going to be a lot of content to go through but over time you develop an idea about what topics are more important to cover.
Hobbies: Getting boba, baking, collecting enamel pins, and trying new foods Fun fact: I am terrible at directions unless I've driven the path myself. |
Cherry Deng
Learning Style:
I take notes during class and review lecture recordings after for revision in case I missed something important. I prefer studying on my own, though my friends and I will bounce quiz questions off each other sometimes. I flag topics I'm not as confident about after studying so I can review them before I sleep and the morning of the exam. Hobbies: I'm a homebody! I enjoy watching crime documentaries and playing mahjong with my family. Interest Fact: Cherries are probably my least favorite fruit. |

Learning style:
When studying, I like to be flexible with how I space out what I need to get done. I try to plan daily deadlines and future deadlines (e.g. today I will finish this assignment, prep my SOAP for this other class, and review this lecture). During the week, start prepping material to review for upcoming test. How I study will depend on the class, but it usually consists of reviewing over the lecture, listening to the recording if needed, rewriting certain key points for me to remember or typing out the answers for the given study guide, do practice problems at least twice, etc. Hobbies: Manga, anime, K-pop. Also been watching food related stuff on YouTube recently Interesting fact: I'm not really good with technology but in the past year or two, I have tried to video editing and rearrange music samples. |

Learning style:
I like to listen to professor's recordings (if available) so I can make sure that I have everything in my notes. After going through the lecture once, I try to organize everything into a word doc using my own words. Few days before an exam, I look at the word doc and memorize by writing everything again on a piece of paper. If there is a lot of drugs to memorize, I like creating an excel sheet so I can look at them all at once and also compare at the same time. Hobbies: Watching movies, napping, playing with my cat Fun Fact: I got my driver's license after starting pharmacy school |
An Tran
Learning Style: I usually study by myself and reorganize the lecture material in an outline format so it is easy to find key words/topics as I study. As I go through and annotate my study guides before an exam, I try to identify patterns in the material and connect concepts from different lectures together to solidify my understanding.
Hobbies: Playing with my dog, reading WebToons, and watching nature documentaries. Interesting Fact: I keep count of how many dogs I see. |
LEE XIONG
Learning style: I do most of my studying in the evenings and late at night. I prefer to prepare on my own by going over the slides and re-listening to any lectures that need clarification before getting with other classmates to quiz each other. My philosophy is to try and understand the concepts instead of just memorizing. For the many instances when you will have to just memorize things, I subscribe to the technique of building memory palaces.

I also find that making study guides or flashcards are wonderful tools for memorization.
Hobbies: Basketball, food, listening to music Interesting fact: I never been to a concert before, but would love to go in the future; Drake is my favorite artist :) |

Learning Style: I learn best by reading through the slides first, then getting together with people and bouncing ideas back and forth. When reviewing my notes, if I do not understand something, I usually email the professors or come to their office hours to get my questions answered directly. Ryan Kwong
Learning style:
I attend every class and if I feel like I missed information on a slide, I leave a mark on it and watch the recording back later to finish it up. About a week before a test, I start looking through the PowerPoints. I first take a cursory look through them to familiarize myself with the content. It's at this time that I try to summarize the slides and put it at the top of my OneNote. Afterwards, I start going through the the PowerPoints slowly to try and memorize all the content. After I finish, I go through them slowly once more and wake up early to secure myself a good parking spot and try to go through as much of the summaries I typed up as I can before test time. I study alone otherwise I would be too unproductive to get anything done. Hobbies: Basketball, video games, movies, traveling Fun fact: I once got stuck on a drop tower ride. |

Learning style: I prefer studying alone in a quiet room when learning new material. Once I've reviewed all of the material, I like to review practice questions with friends. Hobbies: I like singing, listening to music, playing league, and watching anime/kdramas. Fun fact: I studied Japanese for four years in high school. |
Learning Style:
I don’t have a preferred method of studying. I can study individually and in groups if others are down. Learning Style:
I learn the most efficiently and effectively at night while studying by myself, listening to dubstep/EDM, and handwriting all of the information in my own words. I go through every topic very slowly and do not move on until I feel like I have a thorough understanding of the concept and the context of the information. Once I have made it through the material, I like to make flowcharts and summary sheets that organize the information in a way that is distinct and easier for me to connect to. I also really enjoy reading the provided textbooks, as it gives the information more context and relays it in a different way that can sometimes be easier to remember. Hobbies: Hiking, running, going to concerts, watching crime documentaries, playing disc golf, and hanging with my cat! Fun Fact: I lived in Wyoming for several years and do karaoke nearly every weekend |

I'm a visual and auditory learner. My favorite way to study is to first listen to all the lectures and write down everything the professor says. This way I get a good overview on all the topics and know the general concepts. Then, I thoroughly review each lecture and read through all the notes I wrote down. I find that rewriting key words or important information on a piece of paper is super helpful in helping me remember. Even reading out loud my notes or teaching my friends help drill in the concepts. If I'm confused on anything, I make sure to ask my peers. Hobbies: I love eating and shopping :) Fun Fact: I am the shortest in my family |
Learning Style:
I think the best way to learn the material is by getting organized, paying attention in class, and steering clear of distractions. Taking notes and re-listening to the lecture recordings is also very useful since it helps me to go over points I missed during class. Hobbies: Gym, TV shows, cars Interesting Fact: I know 3 languages |
Learning Style:
I take notes by annotating on lecture slides and highlighting information that the professors emphasize. I put the slides in OneNote so I see the material often, and I rewrite important information by making tables, flash cards, or a summary, which helps me see the material in an easier to remember format. I also handwrite most of my notes instead of typing them. I attend every class lecture and prioritize spoken material over written material, especially when the professors give away exam questions or specific details that will be on exams. I review for big exams by watching the professors’ recordings at 2x speed and skipping over the intros. I like studying mostly on my own, but the evening before an exam, I like studying in groups so I can make sure my classmates and I are on the same page, and other students’ explanations help me further understand the material. Hobbies: hiking, bicycling, retro video games, 80’s music, traveling, taking pictures, hanging out with friends, sitcom TV shows Interesting Fact: I know how to beat match songs together. |
